“Kwaa-ga-la” means Love

We are a non-profit in Jinja, Uganda with a home for vulnerable children.

Kwagala exists to provide relief to homeless children by giving them a home and education. Our social workers work hard to build relationships with the families of the children and when possible, resettlement back into their families is ALWAYS the main goal.

Our Vision

Children run to the street for different reasons.

Some are abused, neglected or orphaned. Others run away to seek the freedom and substances that life on the street fosters. Our vision is to help those who have no choice but to call the street their home.

Become a monthly supporter

It costs $4,300/month to keep Kwagala running

Currently, our recurring support is about half that amount and made up of roughly 30 monthly donors.

We have to rely on other one time donations which are unpredictable and inconsistent to make up that gap.

Expenses include food, school fees, supplies, medical expenses, rent, among others. For a complete breakdown of where your money goes, you can email us here
