About Kwagala Ministries
Kwagala Ministries (kwaa-ga-la) is a Ugandan NGO (REG #: 1988392) located in Jinja, Uganda with a home for vulnerable children, most of whom lived and slept on the streets.
Established in January 2013, our vision is to physically support, spiritually nurture, and properly educate such children thus strengthening their capacity to become responsible, self-reliant citizens who understand their God-given potential.
We provide a home but we are also more than a home. A large part of our vision is to build relationships with the families of the boys, to come alongside them and learn what our role can be in helping empower parents to take care of their child again where possible. Jesus was all about relationships. Seeing a child reunited with his family in a healthy loving and supportive relationship is the ultimate goal.

"Kwaa ga what?"
Kwagala means love in the local language, Luganda.
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.... let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” (1 John 3:16-18)
